1. About this app
Neuson Delivery (the "App") is a delivery operations application used by logistics riders engaged by Neuson Consulting Services ("we", "us", "our") to receive, complete, and report on delivery assignments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from riders who use the App, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and what rights riders have regarding their data.
By using the App, riders agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the delivery service. The categories below describe what we collect and when.
2.1 Information you provide
- Phone number — for sign-in via one-time password (OTP).
- Rider profile — name, assigned operating city, and identifiers issued by Neuson Consulting Services or its enterprise partners (e.g., rider ID).
- Proof of pickup and delivery — photographs you capture in-app, signatures, and one-time-passcodes you collect from the consignee.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Precise location (GPS) — collected while you are signed in and marked "online" in the App.
- Device and app information — device model, operating-system version, app version, language, time-zone, network type.
- Push notification token — Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver order alerts.
- Activity logs — order events you generate in the App (e.g., accepted, arrived, delivered).
- Crash and diagnostic data — non-personal technical information to help us fix bugs.
3. How we use information
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in to the App.
- To assign nearby orders to you and to send push notifications about those orders.
- To allow operations staff and end customers to track the live status and location of an order.
- To verify delivery using the photos, signatures and OTPs you capture.
- To compute payouts, incentives and performance metrics associated with completed orders.
- To communicate with you about your account, assignments, payouts or service changes.
- To investigate fraud, abuse and safety incidents and to comply with applicable law.
4. Location data & Background use
When the App collects location: only while you are signed in and have set your status to online in the App. Location collection stops automatically when you go offline. A persistent foreground-service notification is displayed throughout the time the App is collecting your location.
Why we need background location: The phone is typically screen-off while you ride between stops. Without background access we could not:
- Show you only the orders that are close to your current position.
- Provide accurate live tracking and ETAs to operations staff and end customers.
- Automatically detect arrival at pickup and drop-off addresses using geofencing.
What we do not do with location:
- We do not track location while you are offline or signed out.
- We do not sell location data to advertisers or data brokers.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share information only as described below.
- With the enterprise that engages you — to manage their own customers and operations.
- With the end customer of an order — your live location and ETA may be shown on a tracking page.
- With service providers — including Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for notifications.
- When required by law — to comply with a valid legal request or regulatory obligation.
6. Storage, Security & Retention
We store data on infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services, primarily in the Asia-Pacific (Mumbai) region using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
- Account and rider profile — kept for as long as your account is active.
- Order activity & location history — retained for up to 24 months after the order is completed for audits and compliance.
7. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your Neuson rider account and associated data at any time:
- By emailing neusonconsulting@gmail.com with the subject line "Account deletion request".
- By visiting neuson.in/account-deletion and completing the form.
We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
